As Koga tells Dalk to finish Ichigo off, he is reminded of Cain when he looks at Ichigo struggle to get to his feet. In a flashback, Koga remembers when he first met Cain a long time ago. Kariya had left Cain in his care to learn how to create a doll, as well as how to live with another bount. However, the doll Cain created was too powerful for him to control and he was consumed by its power.
