With his energy sword, which he calls a Seele Schneider, Uryu is easily able to fend off Cirucci's attacks. Cirucci sheds her wings and focuses all her power into a single blade on her tail, but this too proves useless. Revealing that his "sword" is actually an arrow, Uryu fires it through Cirucci's chest, destroying the source of her spiritual power. As Uryu and Pesche leave, the Exequias arrive to finish her off. Meanwhile, Chad finds himself unable to harm his opponent, Gantenbainne Mosqueda. After many damaging blows, Chad realizes how to access his full power, transforming his arm into a giant shield, Brazo Derecha del Gigante.
