In Soul Society, Jushiro Ukitake and Shuhei Hisagi observe Orihime and Rukia, who are training for the winter showdown. Yumichika and Rangiku are learning how to execute their bankai when Luppi, Grimmjow, Yammy, and Wonderweiss attack. Ichigo meets Grimmjow and activates his bankai. In the training room under the Urahara shop, Kisuke Urahara prepares to head out for battle.
