Byakuya and Kariya start fighting in a forest in Kusajishi. Kariya attacks Byakuya, who silently thrusts his sword at Kariya. During the close battle, Byakuya finally releases his zanpakuto, but Kariya’s invisible Dolls bounce the Senbonzakura back. Ichigo rushes to the site where Byakuya and Kariya are fighting and releases his Bankai upon Kariya. Byakuya also releases his Bankai to attack Kariya, but Ichigo and Byakuya are not in sync and can’t harm Kariya.
