Ichigo uses his hollow powers and attacks Aizen, wounding him. However, it is revealed that the Hogyoku has fused with Aizen and heals all his wounds. A glad Aizen then explains to Ichigo that all the battles he has fought were part of his plan, as such battles are recapped in the rest of the episode.
